Only 8 4 more days

Stuying will be done in eight days. Can’t wait – Can’t wait to sleep in again, can’t wait to have time again for the lover, can’t wait to have time for the family, the friends, can’t wait to clean my oh so very messy apartment, can’t wait to spend my days outside again, can’t wait to go hiking!!! Today’s my exam in Remote Sensing, on monday it’s photogrammetry and the last one on friday the 20th in SQL/Databases.

Sorry for not checking back to your sites guys, I’ve noticed some people took me down from their links list (wtf??) 😛 etc. Yeah, life’s busy, I hope you understand.

Happy girl

Yup, I’m one happy girl – out of one reason

Tickets

Can’t wait can’t wait. The concert is in November. My favorite BAND!! (yes, it’s a German band).

And YES, I photoshopped myself – I haven’t seen SLEEP or SUN or RECOVERY the last few weeks meaning, my eyes are red, I have dark circles around my eyes and I’m pale!! Last exam is July 20th – can’t wait 😀

Six weird things

I finally come around to post again. I see, you’re not interested in Hardware things? 😉
So, when I go to my google.com/ig site, all the sites I have in my feed have “six weird things” in their current last blog titles. Well, ok, not ALL the sites, but Vera and Sigrun do, and those are the two who tagged me.

Six weird things you should (actually) never know about me:

Hm, I will list here some things, that a girl I study with, thinks are very weird about me (I don’t think that at all)

  1. I eat carrots and kiwis with their skin
  2. I get up every morning at 6.30am
  3. I don’t want to marry churchly , but maybe outside or some other building

Ok, so do you think that those are weird things??

Now I’ll list things that come to my mind:

  1. When I ride my bike (to class), I always need a gum so that my throat doesn’t get too dry. While driving, I’ll chew the gum like a cow – that is, beacause I breathe through my mouth while driving (weird or no?)
  2. When I don’t have at least one chapstick close to me, I’ll freak

And the weirdest of the weirdest:

  1. I like to code 😛

4 GB it is

A few days ago I called Dell to see what’s up with the 3GB RAM – turns out I DO have four, but the windows 32-bit system can’t desplay it (don’t ask me why or what). I checked the BIOS and yep, 4GB 🙂

Life’s busy at the moment, I’m wondering when I’m going to start being the moody bitch I always turn into during exam time. Those exams are so damn huge and there’s soooo much to study for, 10 hours a day on the weekend don’t seem to be enough (and during the week a few hours). Plus the assignements, which are also not small. I wish the exams would be after the semester, because then we’d have time to study. But no, they’re DURING the semester, starting one day after the last class. 🙁

Back to Dell – I was installing (or configurating) the Operating System and XP asked what name the computer should have. I typed in “Tracy”. Then it asked me which other people have access to this PC, I typed in “Tracy” and “Alex”. Ok, so “Tracy” I couldn’t use, because the computer’s name is already Tracy, so… I put in Alex. And NOW?!?! The Computer is registered for Alex, everything I save goes under ALEX. Argh – does anybody know IF I can change that? If you press [WINDOWS] + [PAUSE] – there it will say who the PC is registered for.

Oh well, I just guess that shows how much I love him.. haha.. 😛

I’m eating Mac & Cheese right now – from the States – haven’t had that in years, it already had its due date two years ago 😀 It still tastes sooo good though!

It has arrived

I’m blogging this post from my new PC and my new widescreen monitor 🙂 Both work great. McAffe is installed – so no need to worry. Office 07 is a pain. The old Office formats were always quite the same, but Office 07? Totally different. It’s nice looking though and I knew that it’s totally different but I still ordered it, so I’ll have to get used to it sometime soon.

The only thing that’s confusing me is – I ordered the PC with 4GB RAM but when I check with [WINDOWS]+[PAUSE] it tells me I have 3GB. Every order/email/order certificate tells me I have 4GB so I don’t know if I’m just not seeing the other 1GB or if they gave me too less. I’ll probably check out Dell’s support. Odd.

EDIT: I’m not using Vista – I ordered the Windows XP Media Center OS. It’s great for maintaining Music, Photos … all the Media things.

Good and Bad Things

There are going to be three (maybe more) topics I’m going to write about today:

Dell

I bought a Dell 😀 In my previous post I wrote about my car and that it got sold. With the money I got for my car I could buy this PC. Which I really need. My current PC isn’t too good (well, it lasted three years and I had a lot of good times with it), but my video card is kaputt and it’s hard to work or surf when you only see bright red/green stripes across the monitor.

So.. I’ve ordered the Dimension 9200 “Gamers Delignt”. I’m not a gamer but out of my sucky experience I ordered one of the newest video cards with it from nVidia – GeForce 8600. Other things it has:

  • Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
  • Windows XP Media Center (didn’t want Vista – yet)
  • 4096 RAM
  • 320 GB hard disc
  • Wide Flat Panel – 20″
  • McAffee Security

I can’t wait. I’m excited! I ordered the Office 2007 Student Edition from Amazon just before. It’s not that bad in price. I never thought I’d spend this much on a PC (and monitor) but I just hope I’ll have it a lot of years and that it’ll work fine. I’ve heard too many good things about Dell and I’m not geek enough, nor do I have the time to build a PC together by myself.

The PC will arrive on about June 8th!!

Death

I found out yesterday that one of my former school mates died in a car accident. I haven’t seen this guy in years but still it was quite upsetting for me, he was such a nice guy. This is the first time someone I knew died in a car accident. I was so upset, I just started crying and I couldn’t stop. Yeah, I’m one of those persons who can’t handle death. I should work on that issue…

Threadless.com

Aahhrrrg… I just searched Snark MB on who posted about Threadless, and it was SIGRUN!!! Thanks Sigrun – because of you I’m addicted to that place (Trayay aka Tracy is a 25.37 year old girl, has been a member since April 15, 2007, has scored 1496 submissions, giving an average score of 2.43.)! 😉 But seriously – thanks! 😀

Threadless has a sale (one T-shirt 10 dollars) and, of course, I had to order two. This place is so cheap, and with the Euro being so high I actually pay less than when I’d buy a t-shirt here in Germany at a store (not including H&M). But American Apparel for example – a t-shirt costs 30 EURO!!!!! This place is so damn expensive!

This time I ordered slogan t-shirts.
They say:
– Procrastinators – leaders of tomorrow and
– In case of emergency break dance

Hehe 😀 Can’t wait for those either. Always such a nice surprise to see them in my mailbox.
