Today is the Annual Blog Day Theqbee.net.
On December 15th, all bees with blogs have the opportunity to tell the world why they love the club, what their favourite activity is, the friends you’ve made (anything q*bee!) […]
If you’re not a member (yet), here are some reasons you might consider joining:
- If you’re active, you’ll make some new friends, get some new commentators for your site and find new sites/blogs to visit
- You get to create a cute Quilting Bee Page and collect patches from other members. You collect them to make your quilt bigger and bigger
- If you overcome your shyness, you’ll be able to get to know the Queen, the ultimate PHP ninja, the “ultimately better than you” Jem better
- If you enjoy pixeling, you can take part in Activities
- For every “good” thing you did, you can collect a Shroomy
- Members can vote for you and if you “win”, you’ll get an award for different categories, such as Unique Website, Creative Patch, Creative Quilt …
- You get to chat with other bees and talk about girly/boyly things, geeky things, random things… when other bees are online
Heh, I kind of feel like I’m in some sort of sect, writing all those things to persuade you to join 🙂 . Maybe the qbee will take over the world one day, you never know, right ((no, it’s not a sect – don’t worry)) ? 😉
Anyway… here are some things I really like about the qbee:
- I like to post at the Message Board
- I like to trade and get to add a new patch to my quilt and see it grow
- I get to meet new people
- Also if I’m not amazing in pixeling, I do enjoy taking part in the activities and try to pixel an activity patch
- Seeing I’m a Honeybee, I get to decide whether applying people get accepted or not *evillaugh* *jk*
So, if you’re looking to bee more active on the Internet, if you want to meet new people, if you like pixeling (or not – it doesn’t really matter), if you like bees (well, that really doesn’t matter too), then you can consider joining. You don’t have to, of course. It’s really not a sect, you don’t have to pay $1.000.000 a year and you’re not forced to do other things you don’t want to. I have actually joined once before but back then didn’t know all the people involved and behind it! I like the idea think its a cute and awesome community.

Sounds interesting. I have never tried pixeling before but Q*Bees has always sounded like such a fun site to join so maybe I will take a look 🙂
I’m planning on joining one day soon, I hope. It just seems like something I would enjoy 🙂 I just need to work on pixeling something first!

I’ve wanted to join the QBee for ages, but every time I try and make a patch I realise I have NO pixel powers. Blech.

I’ve been seeing the QBee around for nearly ever and always meant to join or at least consider it…but I am utterly crap at anything requiring artistic ability and thus automatically assume I cannot make a patch. D:
