Happy 2016!

To everyone out there, a wonderful, happy, healthy, content, relaxed, funny and amazing new year!

Our New Year’s Eve was very calm, the three of us stayed home, Quinn went to bed at around 19:00 and my boyfriend and I cooked meals out of the “Game of Thrones” cookbook. That was my Christmas present for him, as well as the “Game of Thrones” monopoly which we played to stay awake until midnight.

Having a little baby which wakes up every day at 6:00 o’clock sharp and keeps you busy during the day can be exhausting and normally we both fall asleep on the couch at around 21:30 :).

2015 was a very special and impressive year for me, for sure. I

I’m very excited to see what 2016 will turn out and all the fun times with Quinn and I’m nosy to see what he’ll learn for new things in 2016.

Happy May 2013

Things I have planned for this month:

  • Celebrate my sister’s birthday
  • Book our summer vacation
  • join the gym (test it before)
  • go to the gym regularly
  • buy a new bike helmet, not so happy with the current one

That’s pretty much it. And hopefully finally wear shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops and not long jeans, Chucks, sweaters, jackets, umbrellas… but, next week it should rain every day.
At least I got my balcony all pretty and it makes me happy 🙂

Dark Billy turns white

Tiny Billy painted white
Billy

I just bought some white lack and am done with my second time painting a tiny billy (40x106cm). It was dark brown before, nice, but too dark for our living room. I’ll probably need to paint it a third time… we’ll see. Time consuming for sure – I’m happy it’s so tiny.

EDIT: Painted it three times (not the bottom though, I might leave that dark or paint it later on) and pimped it a bit. Bought another floor piece (for 5 EURO) and bought a little basket to hide things (5 EURO as well).

New Billy

I went to IKEA to buy a white 80cmx202cm Billy for our guest room today. Got it home, painted the back in a silverish grey and built it together. I got an extra extension for the Billy beginning of the week from a guy who offered it in the newspaper for free. The white is a bit different but who cares – I didn’t have to pay for that extra space 🙂

I also put a crown molding on the top. The boyfriend and I are both happy that we have a new place for our (mostly his) books 🙂
It fits great to our new couch (which arrived yesterday) and the little billy, which we bought around two weeks ago.
