Going on Excursion

Tomorrow I’m leaving at 7am for an excursion to Austria, close to the border of Switzerland. The first night we’re staying on a mountain pasture to where we can park the car right infront.

On the second day 16 people, inclusive one professor, are going to go to a mountain pasture in 2700 meters. That’s a walk of two hours. We have to bring food and all things we need for those two days we’re staying up there and my backpack(s) are soooo damn heavy. I packed and unpacked them a few times and always threw things out I don’t need necessarily (like a second towel), but still the big backpack is very heavy and the second backpack (a small one) is hanging on the backpack, so that’s an additional encumbrance. Oh well πŸ™‚

Read you on Wednesday πŸ˜€

Review, Oktoberfest and Austria

First of all, thanks Rose for reviewing my blog. You can read about it here. I have then changed: The header, the footer, the sidebar, some spelling errors.

It also has an overkill of CSS effects and some strange add-ons that looked like they were there simply because they’re fashionable in the webdesign world at the moment.

Haha, so true. Yes, I like huge footers and flashy CSS effects πŸ™‚

On Sunday the lover, his parents and I spent some hours at the Oktoberfest. It was quite crowded, but it actually was quite lovely as well. The weather was warm and sunny, the beer was good, the food delicious and the rides hilarious. Seeing everything on the “Wiesn” (Bavarian slang for “Oktoberfest”) is very expensive, we only rode the Olympia Looping and Wilde Maus. The second rollercoaster is far more frightening than the first one, seeing you think the wagon will fall down at the beginning of each curve. That ride gave me one big fat bruise on my left leg. Nice memory πŸ™‚

Last week, wednesday to Sunday, the boyfriend and I spent the Days in Kitzbühel, Austria, to go hiking. The views we had were amazing, absolutely breathtaking.

We’ll probably drive to Austria tomorrow or on Wednesday again, seeing Alex forgot his rain jacket. He needs that, seeing we are having one of our exciting excursions again on Friday.

This excursion lasts four days. We’re leaving friday morning at 7.30 am, the destination is Silvretta. We’re going to survey the mountains πŸ™‚ Which have been surveyed 100 times before already πŸ˜€

Home sweet Home!

I spent friday to tuesday at my parent’s, 45 minutes outside of Munich. It’s lovely to be there, it’s like a vacation. You have your peace, nobody bothers you. Well, exept your parents at times, no, actually only the mom at times, but not in a bad way πŸ˜‰

I really love going home and spending time with my parents but I also love living alone. Example

πŸ™‚ hehe… yeah, living alone means not to have to bring everything to the place you got it from immediatelly. Pretty much all I did was relax, and enjoy life, before I start working on October 9th again. I created a new theme – again – the last one reminded me of a little kid too much. Seeing autumn is coming up I picked those colors. No more pink and purple and turquoise for now. I re-wrote this themes style.css completely, added new things. Unfortunatelly, when I’m coding my stylesheet I tend to leave everything I’ve ever coded in CSS in the stylesheet, meaning I’ll have four different classes for four different navigations. Argh, a little unorganized, but oh well.

Oktoberfest (this site takes pretty darn long to load – for me at least) starts this saturday, September 16th already. I tried on my Dirndl, it still fits, luckily. I wish the Wiesn wouldn’t be that expensive and that crowded. Then I’d go more often, but I guess going once or twice is enough anyways, seeing the shit load of drunk people there annoy the crap out of me πŸ™‚ Yes, they do.

IT courses

I just signed up for three courses at the adult education program (school).
They offer quite a variety of different courses, not only IT-based, but also things like cooking, philosophy etc etc.

I applied for:

  • optimizing websites: Usability and Accessibility
  • HTML-add-on-knowledge: Website-layouts with CSS
  • Microsoft Access

I hope I get into those three. I need the Access course for University, only if I have that course I can go on to MySQL and PHP and SQL.

I wanted to apply for XML, but that course is one Saturday before work starts and… I’m lazy. So if anybody knows some good XML tutorial sites I’d be very thankful.

I wanted to apply for a certificate in “online-publishing” which contains three courses. But gee, one course costs € 250.- and that’s quite a lot.
I’m now looking into the ECDL – the “European Computer Drivers License”. It’s an international based IT-certificate which tests your knowledge in Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, Internet, WWW, Email… I do need more knowlege in Excel and, of course, Access.

Ah, in the moment I have sooo many dreams (which are impossible to make true, but a person needs dreams!!). I thought about studying Computer-Science, then go to the States and study Wind-engineering… yeah right. Making an internship in the States in the fiel of Cartography or surveying would be makeable πŸ™‚ I’ll definatelly aply for internships next summer. Sitting home all day drives me nuts. BMW or web-design companies or graphic-design companies would be interesting. Or maybe at a TV channel here in Germany… aahh… πŸ™‚ yeah.

Anyways, I’m at my paren’s right now, waiting for the 26-pages of the ECDL-demo-test to get printed on the Hewlett Packard 610C. One page takes about… one minute? I’ll just wait and wait and wait πŸ˜‰

Alex, Rocco and myself

I surprised my lover today.
I took picked him up at 10am and took him to the animal home to take one or two dogs for a walk. You might think “what a surprise”, but we both love dogs and we both can’t have dogs (well, we could, if we wanted to kill it because we both only live on 20 – 30 sqare meters). And after searching the Internet I found out that you can take dogs for a walk everyday from 9am to 12am.

We got a German Shepherd, his name was Rocco.

The last dog was a dog we saw by passing some rooms and he looked at us so cute πŸ˜€

We took him for a walk one hour. Well, Alex did, luckily. Rocco pulled like crazy and Alex is a little stronger than I am. A little only πŸ˜‰

So, we might do that more often now, it’s so nice to see how happy and euphoric dogs are when they know they’ll be taken for a walk πŸ™‚

Oh yeah, the pope is coming to Munich on Saturday, holding a church service on sunday and the safety measures here in Munich are so freaking ridiculous and it’s driving me crazy and insane. Worse than for the President! … Bikes get thrown away, gullies are been made closed, every where in the city there’s NO parking etc etc etc etc… Insane! I’m driving to my parents!

New Theme

So, I got sick of the last layout quite fast. Now let’s see how long I can look at this colorful-er one.

Yesterday I cooked for my “not-yet-mother-in-law”. I made Mexican food. But before I could cook for her I had to clean my apartment, which took me about 4 hours. Well, I wanted things perfect. After I was done cleaning the boyfriend and I went to the Botanical Garden to take pictures. You can see them on the Sidebar. Lovely flowers. We came home at about 5.45pm and then I prepared the Tacos.

His mom and six-year old niece came over at 6pm. Luckily they liked my cooking, so now I guess I’m good enough for the lover… haha…

I quit Despair.nu. Wasn’t exactly what I expected.. allthough I don’t really know what I expected.
