Weekend

So it’s once again a weekend. It’s saturday but for some reason I’m not as relaxed as usual. I wrote a little on my internship report but I’m lazy. I first have to hand it in in April 2007, and when there’s no pressure on me, I’m bad at anticipating. Unfortunatelly.

I also wanted to work on a Powerpoint presentation I have to hold at work sometime before christmas, but right now I’m just NOT IN THE MOOD. Argh!

I bought some christmas lights yesterday and put them around my bookshelf ๐Ÿ™‚ I also have a lighted star and moon hanging from my curtain rail, it looks very pretty and soo romantic. Damn that I’m sleeping at my lovers place tonight, seeing we’re going to do laundry. (We always wash at his place, seeing it’s cheaper than at my place)

Actually I thought of buying a plastic christmas tree (the American in me), but it cost 20 Euros and also the ornaments are so damn expensive. So I didn’t buy one. Also if I’m working now and earning money I don’t want to spend 100 Euros or so on christmas decorations.

For christmas, my family and I do a “secret santa” sort of thing. We write our names on papers and everybody has to pick a name and the others don’t know which one the other family members picked (whoooo! FUN!! hehe :P). I picked my sister and I already got her the perfect present. I found a site online which creates a Memory of pictures you send them. So I took 25 pictures of my sisters, parents, my sisters son and hubby and created 25 nice looking pictures. I can’t wait to see how the Memory looks like. I thought that was an exotic present ๐Ÿ™‚ I also ordered a calendar for the bubby with pictures including me and him. You don’t hang that one, no, it’s standing and it’s black and silver. Very exotic and different as well. Once I’ll get my purchases I’ll take pictures and post them.

Work is fine, very busy but good. I have to create a powerpoint about the Software I tested and have to present it to different companies. In ENGLISH! I’m very nervous, seeing I don’t have the technical language of remote sensing. Especially not in English. Aah!

Work | Weather | Whatever…

Work has been good.
Last week I started working with a software not so many people in the company have worked with yet. They wanted me to test it and see if it would be profitable for the classification of satellite images. It’s called Fragstats. I kinda had a nervous breakdown the first few days because it seemed like nothing was working. How frustrating. But now I’m happy, because yesterday I completed and finished the report ๐Ÿ™‚ Good feeling :D.

Not much new here. The weather this November has been great. It only snowed one night, that was it. It’s getting colder and colder though.

Right now it’s Thursday morning. I have half a day off of work because I need to see a professor. I’d like to write my diploma by him and yeah… I’d like to check with him.

Have a wonderful day !

I’m sitting here, infront of my working PC! Well, actually I was sitting infront of it thursday night already, so long that I overslept on friday. That’s like the fourth time in my life. I still got to work when I planned though ๐Ÿ™‚

Work is good. Working at the remote-sensing company again where I’ve worked last year too. The work is challenging and interesting. I’m in a team for Forest Monitoring and everything is in Business English! It’s an international project so I’m sitting infront of the English-German Dicitonary a lot ๐Ÿ˜€ I hope I’ll remember the words I learn (I should learn and study them)

On thursday it’s the last day of my “MS Access” course. I’m very happy, I hated driving to that part of the city, looking for a god damn parking place for half an hour and then, after sitting infront of the compy the whole day at work already, sitting infront of it another three hours. But the course was good, I’d take it again.

Today I bought two concert tickets for 160 Euro. I did have a very very strange feeling in my belly when I picked up that amount from my account, but it felt oh so good when I had the tickets in my hand. It’s in the Munich philharmonic orchestra and it’s one of the best pianists playing Rachmaninoffs piano concert #3 – the most beautiful piano concert. So, I can’t wait till MARCH 21st!! March? Wow…

Dang…

Unfortunatelly, it’s not “only” the video-card what’s wrong with my Computer. Nah, it’s something bigger and now I need to send in my whole PC to the company next week. I started to install Windows XP new and after about 6% the computer froze… and now, of course, my computer totally doesn’t work anymore, because I have no operating system. That’s just great.

I’m at my parent’s place right now, my sister and my mom drove to Austria today to paint the apartment we have there. It hasn’t been renovated in 30 years (but that’s what made it cozy) ๐Ÿ™‚ and now it’s going to be renovated.
We had a water damage there a few weeks ago and everything looks horrible. So the small little cozy place is getting a whole new makeover. Lovely. We already picked out and ordered a couch today – in brown – very lovely too.

Well babies, I hope yer all fine, enjoying the online world.
I hope to join you soon again, I really hope… I just hope it’ll be before christmas!! ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™

GAAHHH!!!!!!

Whoo – Blog

I’m at the Uni right now, doing things online.

My computer is still broke, I’m waiting for the video-card to be delivered. I hope it’ll be this week. So… I’m never online ๐Ÿ™ Only at work, but ya know, it’s work… and I have soo much work I wouldn’t have time to browse ๐Ÿ™‚

Just a quick update to let my few visitors know that I’m not online.

How are you? What’s new???
Take care ya’ll!

Busy life starting … tomorrow

I got back from the Excursion in Austria Tuesday night, wednesday to friday we had class and excursions to newspapers (to see how the Offsetprint is done). Quite interesting.

On Friday my nephew had his 2nd birthday. So my sister and I drove out to my other sister. The party was… well… five kids in the ages of 9 month to 5 years ๐Ÿ™‚ The party was “neat”.

On Saturday my dad turned 66 and we had a big dinner in the evening. My dad hasn’t been here in Germany for his birthday in six years. My parents normally spend the October in Florida.

Today it’s sunday, Alex and I are still at my parent’s place.
My computer’s graphic card is slowly dying. I took my computer to my parent’s place on friday to see if it’s the monitor which is kaputt, but nah, luckily, or unfortunatelly, it’s the graphic card. So I’ll call my computer company on Monday and ask them to send me a new one.

On monday I also start my Internship at the remote sensing company here in Munich again. 18 weeks it’s going to take, meaning I’ll start my busy life again ๐Ÿ™‚ Working my 42,5 hours a week… phew ๐Ÿ˜€ But the work is great and challenging, the people are funny and friendly and I earn money, so there really is nothing I should complain about.

Next week on wednesday from 6pm to 9pm I have my first “night-adult-school” course. Optimizing Websites, it’s called. I’m nosy to see what they’re going to tell us.

So, if I won’t blog as much anymore, it’s because of work or night classes or because I can’t see a monitor anymore ๐Ÿ˜‰
