German | English

My problem (which will first occur sometime in the middle of next year – but still):

Should I write my thesis in German or English!?!?!?

Advantages German:

  • It’s easier

Disadvantages German:

  • I’m horrible at writing – very!

Advantages English:

  • It’s more qualitative
  • If I might work in the US one day – they can read it
  • I can write better in English
  • There are a lot of English books on that subject

Disadvantages English:

  • I don’t know the technical term for a lot of words (which actually shouldn’t be a problem, seeing there are dictionaries and the employees all know the terms very well)
  • It might take longer to write
  • It might take longer until I know how I should put a sentence

*Sigh* What do you guys think?

Yesterday I started with the formatting of the thesis. I created a word file, created the cover sheet and created all the headings etc. It took a few hours. *Sigh*

Late Qbee BD

On Dec. 15th was the Qbee Blog Day and I was too busy to blog (about anything) on that day.

Anyways, the Quilting Bee is a really neat place.
I joined April first 2007 and I’ve really enjoyed my time at the QBee. There are fun Activities, there’s a nice Message Board, there are talented members like Jem (the Queen) or Bubs, Arien, Ashley, Melissa, Amelie (and much more) who do such great work to keep the QBee so pretty and cute and good running, just like it is.

The great things about the QBee are:

and so much more.

You don’t need to be a great pixel-master, not at all, you just need to enjoy being part of such a lovely community. So…

Join now, will ya πŸ˜› ?

I’m lazy – at blogging

I would have had a lot to write the last few days (I think) but I was just oh too lazy to go through this huge process of clicking two clicks until I’d be here, in the “Write Post” section. Gah!

Anyways, I got the EOS 350D (*biggrin*). The lover was a tiny bit envious, but I told him he’s allowed to….. read the instructions πŸ˜€ He was not amused. Then I said he’s allowed to …. buy me lenses. He wasn’t amused with that either. Nah, he’s allowed to use the camera of course. I wish I’d be done with Uni and working at a job so that I could buy a new lens soon. I’m happy with the one included but there are so great lenses out there.

We tested the camera last Saturday and the pictures beneath (scroll down if needed) came out. Fun times πŸ˜€

I held my “Turkey” speech today. It went well, it went exactly 30 minutes. The prof loved my Presentation (Powerpoint Presentations = my specialty) so I’m happy with that.
Finally, now that the speech is over I can concentrate on the upcoming exams *joy*.

I got my Dad two presents. A “Candle-light-dinner” for two (including for my mom) and a Dvd called “Am Limit” (on the limit), it’s about two extreme-climbers from Bavaria πŸ™‚ It’s more like a documentation and I hope he’ll like it. I’d like to watch it as well.

I’m not at all in a christmas-y mood at all. You?

To buy

… or not to buy?

The Canon EOS 350d is available for 400 Euro (about 590 Dollar) – which is cheap, well, kinda.
The 400d is newer, but not really that much better, just a few extras. By getting the 350D I could invest in a great Lens I just love. Butt 400 Euro aint less.

Eek – I don’t know what to do. My tummy says “buy it”, my head says “don’t – it’s too much money”. But it’s so purdy and the lenses are just sooo yummy!

At Home – edited

I’ve edited my Amazon Wishlist. It’s so full right now, I wish I could buy everything on it NOW! Do you have a wishlist? What’s on it? For the nosy people out there :D, here’s a link to it.

I’m at my parents place – working on the Turkey Speech (well, and now watching Scrubs). It goes quite well, I wrote about the history, politics and religion. Now I just need to write about the Vegetation, Climate, Landscape, Ankara and Istanbul πŸ™‚

Well, I need to create a Powerpoint too, and make handouts, so there’s still a little more work.

Well, have a nice weekend!
