Bye bye mole, bye bye happiness…

Bye bye mole Nah, not really bye to happiness, but my mole is gone (yes, this IS exciting news). This mole was part of me for I don’t know how many years, I can’t remember NOT having that mole. It’s been getting a little bigger (not in size, but in “sticking out”) and it was annoying.

On Friday I went to the dermatologist and he said the only thing he can do is cut it out. I was lucky to get an appointment for my mini-op that same day. He injected the mole with anaesthesia and then stabbed around in my face 🙂

Now I’m wearing a huge band-aid (the cut is two centimeters long) and people are staring at me 😀

  1. I have a mole too, in a very similar place to yours, only mine is closer to my ear. I quite like it actually, but if it started growing or doing weird things, I’d definitely have it removed!

  2. aww hope you get better soon. i had something like that taken out, but it was on my back when i was younger. idk i just woke up with a huge bandaid after they put me to sleep in the dr’s office, haha. i too wore a huge band aid but no one saw it

  3. Good thing you got it removed, moles that grow bigger (even if it’s in sticking out) are never a really good thing.

I was born with a cyst in my head, right above my right eyebrow. Eventually it grew bigger too to a point where people where continually asking me if I had been in a fight. I finally got it removed a few years ago, just to be on the safe side.

It might have been a bit scary to get it done but it was a good decision!

  4. Tracy… you made that sound terrifying yet you were so nonchalant about it… and that scared me a little bit! LOL Well, glad you are happy about the mole removal.. I bet that mole misses you! 🙁 Hey, what do they do with all of the old moles in the world anyway? *Pictures moles having parties in jars*
