Pretty Things

After looking at Regine’s Blog I was inspired to create a blog entry similar to hers. I even joined Polyvore.com – neat site.
The Lover and I are going to move together in March, and I L O V E to browse interior design sites and get inspired. Following articles are from impressionen.de

Now, the shoes have nothing to do with interior design or accessories, but they’re cute ♥. What kind of sites do you like to browse?

  1. The sofa was stilysh and definitely something I’d buy. But just a little piece of advice…that color catches dirt and stains pretty fast. I’d recommend a darker tone, like beige or “tea”. You can make the sofa’s fabric look lighter by having dark colored cushions on it.

I normally watch TV shows in order to find the styles I want. Like 60 minutes makeover or changing rooms. I also buy interior magazines occasionally. We finished decorating our apartment a year ago.

What we did was painting all the walls in the apartment of the same color, but then having different colors for each room. The the courtain, decoration, cushions, etc are in the color theme or subject. For instance, the bed room is of purple and pink shades. The living area is of purple, dar brown and beige shades. The kitchen red and orange, the working/computer room is turquoise and dark brown, etc.

I think that gives you more liberty of changing the colors whenever you get tired of them instead of having to paint the whole place all over again.

Good luck with the moving. It must be so exciting for you. Are you gonna rent or buy?

  2. I love the candles! I always have tons of candles around. I love the different scents and they are just so pretty. I love looking at interior design sites and web design sites. I also just love browsing other peoples domains and seeing what they have done and what they are blogging about.

  3. Does Lover like pink as much as you 😉 ?

I don’t find inspiration so much on Internet, but I love reading interior design magazines and drool over furniture etc. which I will never afford (;_;) I can’t wait that I graduate and get a job and get an apartment where I can live alone (well with Jo too, but without roomies :P). Knowing our styles that flat will be black/white/green (Jo likes minimalism, I like…. green XD).

  4. I want a damn pink trench coat and the one that I want is sold out from Juicy Couture. lol.. so there was a pink coat on that other girl’s site and now i’m wanting one. i just randomly surf around and find stuff.

congrats on yall finally moving in with each other.

  5. Oooh… I love the fondue set and the candles!

I love, love, love browsing through Ikea’s website. I try to stay away from it as much as possible because when I go there, I spend at least an hour browsing.

  6. I like the sofa and dining set! They’re pretty and most likely the things I would pick out too, if I were to move out right now. lol. I wish I could move out though. You’re lucky. Gah. lol

I love browsing through Yelp.com, it’s a site with reviews of restaurants, gyms, scenic sites, etc. It has sort of a forum too but I don’t like the people there. Haha =P

  7. Wait wait, is he moving in with you or are you moving in with him or are you getting a new place for the both of you? HEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Pretty soon: wedding bells? :D:D:D

PS: I live in QC 🙂

  8. I am totally obsessed with candles. Scented ones are better though. I collect them and put them in my room just because they looks so pretty!

The dining set and the sofa is amazing too. I would love to buy them. (That’s if I have any money.)

  9. Firstly, veryyyy cute layout.

I love browsing ikea, and japanese clothing sites. But that couch is hella cute, a long…with everything else up there really. Good taste is admiral. 😛

  10. your site looks sooo cute!!! your moving in together!!! congrats babe!! that’s such a big step.. so when is the wedding *wink wink*

i like going to urbanoutfitters.com they always have unique things. i of course also look at a lot of photography websites and good ol ebay.

  11. Good luck on decorating your new place once you get there!

The only thing I know I want for my place is this hugee comfy suede couch that my BF’s brother has in his house. It’s seriously the most comfortable couch I’ve ever sat (and slept) on. Too bad there are like pen marks all over it because of their kids. Such a shame!

  12. Ah, living together is always such a sweet treat. The farting, the hogging of the sheets, the inappropriate scratching of the testicles…I can go on forever…
