Long time no write…

Hello there, is anybody still reading this blog (seeing I never blog)?

Anyway… hm, I’d like to blog more about my little wild almost two year old (baby) boy, but then on the other hand I don’t want to share too much information about him online. I probably could just blog and not share pictures though. Not sure.

So, life is good but I’m sick way too often. It started in the beginning of December when I had a pulled muscle, then a laryngitis, then a cold, and now a cold. I called sick into work so often the last 2,5 months I feel bad.
This time, about a week ago, Q had lots of yellow stuff in his eyes. I had to put in eye drops five times a day and clean his eyes a lot. It wasn’t a conjunctivitis, luckily, but still it was catching, as I got it three days later. The same thing – everything behind the nose is clogged, the tear fluid which is being produced cannot run through the nose so it just comes out of the eyes – yummy! I haven’t had something like that in 35 years but now, with a child, it’s never too late for the first time.

Q and I stayed home one week now, his eyes are pretty good now and I think I’ll put him into child-care tomorrow, so that he can play a bit with his friends. And mommy (me) will RELAX!

I always wondered how mothers do it – to be sick with a child. My answer is: Advil! 🙂 I’m not a fan of taking medicine but when I’m sick I pretty much take them all the time. Don’t blame me 😉

Q’s play corner in the living/dining room is finished now, here’s a photo

I moved it around differently but that’s all I wanted for him – a little table with chairs, a book shelf, a bench (which is also a shelf – whoa) where he can sit and read 🙂

How have you been?

We all have a cold

It’s been a while…

It all hit us hard here, Baby-Q, his papa and I were home sick.

And let me tell you, having a cold and taking care of an active yet also sick child is mega-exhausting. I still breastfeed during the night (exhausting as well) and am not allowed to take anything! I had such a headache two days and was dreaming of pain medicine.

Q was super whiney and was hanging on his mommy, he’s getting better each day but it was quite exhausting just to watch him not getting into any trouble.

We are all better now, I just had a typical cold for a few days, Baby-Q had a fever, cold, coughing, running nose for about nine days. We had to postpone the familiarization at the child care for one week later so we are starting that tomorrow (and hoping he won’t get the next cold). Papa-Q has been hit the worse, he had a cold for almost three weeks. Poor guy, but he’s better now too.

So, stay healthy all!

I miss the gym!

This is the first time since 2012 that I’m sick. And with sick I mean, having a bad cold and not being able to go to work. It started on Sunday, January 5th, that day I did a 30 minute circuit training workout. I didn’t feel too well but I didn’t feel too bad either. Monday was a holiday, so, no work and I stayed home Tuesday and Wednesday. I did go to work on Thursday because I felt quite good on Wednesday but my running nose started on Thursday so I stayed home on Friday.

Now it’s Sunday and I still don’t feel 100%. It feels like (I hope) I need about two more days to be back on track!

Anyway, knock on wood, I only missed work one day last year (after I got stung by a bee and couldn’t sleep the whole night).

I didn’t feel too good before my trip to France in October last year and blogged about what sucks the most when you’re sick, and it’s NOT BEING ABLE TO GO TO THE GYM!!

I don’t believe in working out with a cold. I think your body needs all the energy it can get to get healthy again and not to build muscles or improve your fitness. And also, I can’t imagine people at the gym would appreciate when I sneeze and caugh and blow my nose all the time. I wouldn’t like that either.

So, yesterday I was so bored so I took some random photos.
